TIME: 7 PM CT / 8 PM EST | PLATFORM: Zoom | REGISTER: sforce.co/3cDRxxZ

On September 15, 1963, a bomb planted by Ku Klux Klan members exploded at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama during church services. Four young girls were killed; Dale Long, who was eleven at the time, was among the survivors. Mr. Long will share his memories of this tragic act of hate, as well as his experiences as a young African American man in Birmingham and his commitment to living a life of service that honors friends who did not get the chance to grow up.

This program is presented in conjunction with our current special exhibition, The Fight for Civil Rights in the South.
