On January 6, 2021, Americans were shocked as they witnessed tens of thousands of self-proclaimed patriots storm the Capitol, many proudly carrying Confederate flags.
Professor Steven J. Ross, author of 2018 Pulitzer Prize finalist Hitler in Los Angeles: How Jews Foiled Nazi Plots Against Hollywood and America, will talk about the rise of White Supremacists bent on ridding the nation of Jewish and Black people after World War II and the three New York-based groups that spied on them from 1945 until the late 1970s—and beyond: the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League. The program will be moderated by former Congressmember Mel Levine who currently serves as Counsel at the international law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
