trust first. action second.
Taking action across lines of difference to build resilience to identity-based violence takes trust. That trust must be earned. It often takes years to develop, but we have a methodology for accelerating this process in partnership with civic leaders, which we have tested in communities worldwide, from Charlottesville, USA to Kigali, Rwanda.
young people are both students and makers of history.
We believe students must gain hands-on experience attempting to make change happen in their community and learn what works and what doesn’t firsthand.
We believe students should be seen not just as knowledge consumers, but also as knowledge creators with historical literacy.
We believe students can learn from history while making history for the benefit of their communities.
Focus on Holocaust, genocide, and human rights centers.
They are sustainable hubs for impact with built-in audiences essential to building resilience to identity-based violence. We provide an open-source platform where these institutions can collaborate with each other and take programmatic risks, leading to rapid iteration and scaling of the most effective solutions to bridge the gap between knowledge and action.
